‘A Good Beer Always Helps’
‘A Good Beer Always Helps’ asked Aussie essential workers to register for a gift of local craft beers, donated by the Australian public and generous businesses.
10,000 registered - and $52,253 has been raised to shout 2,600+ of them a gift of local craft beers.
The good people working in our essential services have always been there for us. ‘A Good Beer Always Helps’ was our chance to thank them for their courage, their care and their generosity in keeping us safe and keeping our country going during the COVID-19 pandemic and at all times - by shouting them a round of local craft beers.

We operated the campaign on a first come, first served basis, so 4 packs have been sent out as we received donations from generous Aussies.
‘A Good Beer Always Helps’ also supported independent craft breweries in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and the ACT - many of whom are doing it tough right now after social distancing regulations have closed or limited operations at their taprooms and bars.
So by gifting an essential worker a 4 pack of beer our donors were also helping local independent craft breweries too.

The campaign was also supported by Pozible, leading Australian crowd funding platform and a BCorp that provides the platform for project creators to present their ideas to a connected audience, worldwide.
And finally, James Grugeon - The Good Beer Co Founder, has been supported to administer this campaign by good friends (also on an enforced and temporary COVID 19 break) Joslyn and Matt from Hop on Brewery Tours. Thank you to everyone for your support.
None of the partners in #agoodbeeralwayshelps is in this to make a profit. The Good Beer Co , Pozible, Sendle and our independent craft breweries are only covering costs - so Australians who donated can be assured their donation is going straight to our essential services workers.
Our inspiration
"A Good Beer Always Helps" was inspired by our good mates and fellow social enterprise beer company, Brewgooder in the UK. They created the #oneonus campaign to shout NHS workers a four pack.
